Day 16

2 April 2003

I feel some degree of sadness due to the events that transpired during the wee hours of the morning. We awoke at 4:10 a.m. to find three men (an a woman who stood back in the shadows) rampaging around us. They attempted to destroy our belongings, and became very violent physically. I was pushed to the pavement, and one attacker hit a friend of mine with a broomstick we had nearby, breaking the stick in two.

Today, I'm focusing on healing and overcoming, and have had a quiet peaceful day to do so. Many have stopped by to offer support, encouragement, and assistance.

We will be taking further precautions to avoid future incidents, and will stand strong together ad confront this menace arising from the shadows of hatred and greed.
