Day 14

31 March 2003

The outpouring of love and support following the frightening incident that took place early Sunday morning has been no less than phenomenal. People have been streaming by all day leaving gifts, encouragement, and hope. We are deeply grateful that communities around the state have rallied to our defense and helped us stay strong and vigilant. We've had company nearly every moment of the day, and a group already forming to spend the night with us.

From the bottom of my heart, I send all of my love and gratitude to the beautiful people of Salem and all over Oregon. You all are the reasons that we see hope in each new dawn, and the possibilities for a better tomorrow on the horizon.

In Peace and Hope,

--Michele from Camp Peace
