Fencing at the studio is open to those who have completed Introductory Foil Fencing I or who have demonstrated an equivalent knowledge and mastery of the sport.

All fencers not enrolled in Introductory Foil Fencing I or Introductory Foil Fencing II must provide their own equipment.

Fencing at the studio is FREE with your membership in the Salem Family YMCA

Non-YMCA members will need to either purchase a YMCA day pass or purchase an activity card ($24/month for adults, $12/month for youth) to fence at the studio. However, members of our sister clubs (Willamette University and Studio of American Fencing) fence for free.

Fight Nights (Wednesdays, beginning in September) are open to all. Fight Nights are for visually-judged bouts only, and serve as a way to test yourself. If you are not affiliated with the Salem YMCA Fencing Studio or one of its sister clubs, there is a $5 floor fee.
